One more project is completed!

BELTRUBOPROVODSTROY has completed construction work on the entrusted sections of the Gomeltransneft Druzhba OJSC facility “Construction of the Gomel-Gorki Main Oil Pipeline”. Customer of the pipeline construction works is Belgazstroy OJSC (Republic of Belarus).

Construction of Gomel-Gorki oil pipeline is a strategically important project for the development of the oil industry of Belarus. The new oil transportation line will become a connector between the main oil pipelines Unecha-Polotsk and Unecha-Mozyr-Adamovo. It will connect Mozyr refinery and NAFTAN, enabling the main oil refineries of Belarus to exchange resources, and in general improve logistics for alternative oil supplies.

The projected pumping capacity of the new pipeline is 6 million tonnes of oil per year. The total length of a Gomel-Gorki oil pipeline will be 207 km.

Construction work on the BELTRUBOPROVODSTROY section was carried out from May to October 2021. On 3 construction stages in Mogilev Region and in the north of Gomel Region there construction works have been implemented by the efforts of BELTRUBOPROVODSTROY construction, welding and drilling teams.

As a result we have performed:

– the linear pipeline with total length of 17.6 km;

– 4 closed crossings over the Rivers Dobrich (crossing length is 443 m), Kosolyanka (crossing length is 371 m), Krupka (crossing length is 459 m) and Pronya (crossing length is 487 m) by directional drilling method

– 23 crossings over automobile roads constructed by horizontal directional drilling.

The works were carried out on a tight schedule and were complicated by the features of the construction area – boulder embedding, area flooding, neighborhood of the historical and archeological research of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus next to the construction site.

We would like to thank the construction crews, the administrative and service staff of BELTRUBOPROVODSTOY JSC for their assistance in implementing the project.
